All Day I Dream About....
Adidas Singlet/ Hunt No More silver pants/Lipstick Heels/ Sportsgirl Denim Clutch/ Rayban Aviators
Sport Luxxe....interesting word, can sport be luxury? UM....yes, totally and its a hot new trend to try at the moment, especially if you are a sporty type, as all you need to do is throw on a pair of printed jeans/leggings/harem pants a vintage sport singlet ie. Adidas/Nike which can be found at most sport shops and a pair of heels and you have the look.
This Trend has been seen out in force in the last couple of months at all the major fashion festivals and by some of the biggest names in fashion. For myself I like to stay comfortable but still confident in what I wear and somewhat 'fashionable' so this look is one of my favourites.
I hope you are all having a wonderful holiday season and you are organised enough to have made a start on the xmas shopping list ...well at least for yourself anyway :)

Cool Rider
Susan Rep Kaftan/Dress, Topshop Sandals/ Mihaela Menichelli 'Savanna' Bag/ Michael Kors Watch/ Spell Designs Necklace
This summer for me is all about staying cool as Melbourne's weather likes to be extreme at the best of times. I am going to live in short dresses, short shorts and anything basically short, bohemian and grungy.
The dress pictured above is from a label called Susan Rep, it fits my crazy lifestlye at the moment as it seamlessly works both day and night and I can make it fit for the beach or add some motorcycle boots and get that grungy street vibe I crave from my outfits. I NEED versatility in my crazy life at the moment!
Christmas is around the corner and its crept up on me so soon that I barely have time to write my list for Santa, but I know what I will be hoping for under the tree and its ANY and when i say any, i mean ANY bag from the Michaela Menichelli Range
Here's hoping Santa reads this blog post and gets on to the webpage link ;) Santa buy me this bag please

Game On
One Teaspoon Muscle Tee/ Hello Parry Ruche Split Jersey Maxi/ Isabel Marant Boots/ Mimco Across Body Bag
HOORAY! the sun is finally shining in Melbourne and I can get out of my heavy winter jumpers and layering and throw myself into my many amazing and quite extensive collection of muscle tee's. I have been amassing this collection for awhile now, looking for old school vintage pieces everywhere, think Ramones, Nirvana, Guns N Roses, Rolling Stones etc, to pair with my shorts, leather leggings and skirts.
I have definitely cemented my look of 'dirty grunge' and am going to keep this look going through summer as I feel it represents my personality and style perfectly and I'm convinced pretty/girly does not have my name in it!!
This Hello Parry skirt was a complete random find when researching for new online boutiques. I almost fell off my chair when I found it and all the other amazing pieces on this website, it is now saved into my 'favourites' list and is definitely worth checking out. (HELLO PARRY)
I have got to tell you all that I am so happy as the dreary, winter, rainy days which have been going on FOREVER in Melbourne are ALMOST over and I can ALMOST peel the many layers off that become the "Melbourne Staple" and soak up the sunny days and warm balmy nights.
Happy Days xx

Emirates Stakes Day
Bettie's Boutique Gingham Dress/ Vintage Fascinator/ Michaela Menichelli Clutch/ Michael Kors Rose Gold Watch |
It has been a super, crazy busy week for me and most of the fash pack in Melbourne, three words...Spring Racing Carnival! I decided early this year that I was only going to do one day and that was Emirates Stakes Day. I had all the best intentions to prepare my outfit well in advance but as usual I left it to the last minute. Luckily the beautiful owner of Bettie's Boutique, Rebecca Neate came to my rescue and dressed me in this exquisite creation. As soon as I tried this dress on it fit like a glove and I knew it was 'the one'. The dress is right on trend at the moment with the fitted pencil 7/8th length and body hugging material, giving my body the curves I wish for. I was invited to the Swisse and VRC marquees in the famed birdcage and ended up having an amazing day with my friends, sipping on an assortment of cocktails and canapes throughout the day.
If there is one thing you have to do, its visit Melbourne during Spring Racing time and get yourself down to Flemington.

Combat
TopShop Mens Camo Tee/ Cheap Monday High Waisted Jeans/ Spell Designs Necklace/ Isabel Marant Boots/
Mimco Bag/ Rayban Aviators/ Michael Kors Rosegold Runway Watch
Get your camo on!! I have to say that I am a bit partial to the odd camo piece of clothing, but only worn and styled very specifically, as it is way too easy to get this look totally wrong, ending up looking more GI Jane than fashion forward.
Camo is filtering through certain designers at the moment and I recently walked into Topshop in Melbourne and spotted this baby. The only thing is, it was in the men's section. Men's tees are ridiculously comfy and at the moment fashion is favoring the loose fit rather that skin tight, so I opted to try on the smallest size they had and do a bit of DIY on it when I got home.
To make this tee more female friendly I cut the sleeves off and rolled the hem to make a small cuff giving it more of a muscle tee look, sewed the cuff and I was done!
If you want to try this look just make sure you use one piece of camo clothing and wear it with a basic block colour, I tend to favour black as it makes the camo the feature piece. Add your accessories; anything heavy or industruial works well and add some ankle boots and you have the look.

MK Timeless
Content and/or other value provided by our partner, Michael Kors.
Michael Kors has just launched this limited edition Paris Runway watch and I am totally in love. This dazzling watch is an adaptation of the best selling Runway style. It is rendered in a rose gold tone with a diamond featured in the chronograph and pays homage to the iconic city of Paris. If you regularly read my blog you will see my Rose Gold Michael Kors Runway watch included in almost every post.
"Arm Swag" is being featured everywhere with so many prolific fashion mavens adopting the "more is more" look. I personally love this style and find that you can almost stack any amount of bracelets and bangles on your arm paired with a chunky manstyle watch ( I always use my Michael Kors watch as it goes with anything) and you have got the look.

Claire H. of Davis, CA for Lanini's Wedding, October 20, 2012
Claire is wearing 100% silk charmause for fabric and 100% china silk for lining. The sizes are available from 2 to 18. This boatneck top with cowl back with straight/fitted skirt cost $299. I love working with silk. It's easy to cut and sew and also good for the environment.
Jamie W. of Tokyo, Japan December 22, 2012 Wedding
Jamie's mom, Donna found my website and thought I would be the perfect person to design Jamie's wedding dress so we met back in August of 2012. Jamie came out to California for 3 weeks from Japan this month so I finished her wedding dress so that she could take it back to Tokyo. It was so much fun to work with Jamie. She is so sweet and very easy to work with. We used Jamie's mom (Donna's) wedding dress for fabric. I used about 70% from Donna's dress and the other 30%, I used China silk. I love using old wedding dresses for fabric so we don't waste anything and plus, the client saves from buying new materials.
Kari L. of Davis, CA October 20, 2012
I had a great time working with Kari L. of Davis. Kari came to me back in May 2012 to see if I could design and make her a wedding dress since I worked on her twin sister Alli's dress last summer. I agreed but it took me longer than usual to finish her dress since I was traveling to South Korea and Japan this summer. Kari was very patient. It took me 5 months to finish her dress since I was working on other clients designs. Kari has beautiful skin and a natural looking face so we decided to just work with natural silk charmause as a liner and lace on top. I didn't put on any beads since she wanted the lace to be soft.

Wheelin Around
Fox Forre Floral Blazer/ One Teaspoon 'Bandits' Shorts/ Sabo Skirt Lounge Tunic/ Senso Qimatt iii Boots/ Sabo Skirt Rose Gold Bracelet/ Le Specs 'St Elmo' Sunglasses |
So this week has been one of those weeks...I am up, I am down and I am literally 'wheelin' around. Its Ironic that I am pictured here with a bike, as due to my mood(s) this week, one of my closest friends surprised me with a ride on his Aprilia RSV4 Factory. If you are anything like me I have absolutely no idea what that even means, all I know is that it is super fast and super amazing. The ride definately cleared my head and put the biggest smile back onto my dial!
My little two wheeler 'pushie' pictured here though is going to have to do for now! ;)
Ok back to the fashion...I received these Senso Qimatt boots about a month ago and I have been seriously wearing the soles out of them. Wherever I go, people are stopping me to ask where they are from. They are the perfect balance between classic and unique, that puts the edge into any outfit. They look great paired with a pair of black skinnies, muscle tee and blazer, but I have chosen to wear them with my one teaspoon bandits as it was a sunny day out in Melbourne and I had to take advantage of it!
Hope you like it

Crop Out
Mink Pink Jagger Jeans/ Witchery Knit/ Senso Qimatt Boots/ Michael Kors Watch/ SaboSkirt Rose Gold Chunky Bracelet/ Asos Bracelets |
My love of cropped pants is becoming an unhealthy obsession, I cant stop myself from buying countless pairs. I am justifying this unhealthy past time by reminding myself that it is coming into summer and Melbourne's weather is as fickle as ever, so if I was to ever be caught out in it, cropped pants would be my complete saviour!
In all seriousness though, copped pants are everywhere and are such a great altenative to jeans, if you are anything like me I seriously live in jeans, all colours, styles and prints. So getting into cropped pants/jeans is a nice change and I get to show off my countless different boots in their entirety, winning in both areas!
In this shoot I am wearing the Mink Pink Jagger Jeans with my Senso Qimatt boots. I love an animal print paired with a basic knit and find that the knits simplicity balances out the more than often 'loud' print making it much easier to wear, think tamed jungle Vs Shaniqua from the Bronx!

Julia Bishop's wedding dress
Julia came to me last Saturday and asked me if I could work on her wedding dress. At first I wasn't sure since I was working on 2 other wedding dresses and a costume for Davis High School student that all needed to be done by this weekend. I took on the project since Julie was referred by her friend who was my client serval years ago. As you can see, it all worked out well. I only needed to do one fitting and the dress fit Julie perfect. It took me total of 10 hours to work on this dress.

Leonol is my regular client. She's fun person to work with. Leonol had me work on this navy dress for about a month. I've been really busy so I wasn't able to finish it until this week and she's been busy too doing research at UC Davis. Thanks, Leonol for being so patient with me. You're a great client!!!
Spring Has Sprung and The Boys Have Won
The Amazing team at Amuk : L-R Tessa Caroll (Designer of new Womans wear) , Dylan -Lee Hyne (Owner/Designer), Lee Elliott (Face of the brand) and Tom Langford (Owner/Designer) |
Tom Langford (Owner/ Designer) and His Girlfriend Miranda Clarke |
Myself and the Amazing Roc |
Amuk launched their new Spring/Summer 12 range in Melbourne a week ago at the opulent Mon Bijou Penthouse in the heart of Melbourne. I was lucky enough to have a front row seat to see what the team had put together.
Amuk's calling card is that they make their tees from Pima cotton which has a softer and denser texture and is much more durable than regular cotton. Their new range as showcased features this throughout and their mix of basic staples are perfect to easily add to any wardrobe. As a female fashion blogger you would have heard me countless times talk about the importance of basics in a females wardrobe. This is no different for men, the most stylish male fashion icon's out there almost always team their outfits with basics. The range that I saw at the S/S 12 launch was effortless. A great pallette of colours were used making it simple to add to items already hanging in your wardrobe. The mustard chinos were my absolute favourite, teamed with one of their basic pocket tees and its probably the easiest outfit you can wear without worry.
I cannot recommend this label enough and have completely decked out my BF in the new range (much to his approval).
Definitely check this one out boys, before its all gone and your stuck wearing the same old, same old!
